   History

Mr. M.R.Rama Murthy was involved during his free time in many financial, recreation and spiritual service Institutions at Bangalore and decided to take up the service activities to the really needed people and hence formed PaRanga Charitable Trust with the objects needed for various levels necessary for orphans to uncared old people viz. something like orphanage to old age home, PaRanga means “Ignorance to Wisdom” “agnaanadimda sugnaanadedege” (In kannada language).

PaRanga Charitable Trust got registered by the Sub Registrar, Magadi on 28th September 1998 at 1.30 PM, as a forum.

Since there were no High Schools around 5 Kms from Thorepalya, steps were taken to start PaRanga High School in the year 2000-01 and the first batch of   students took the state SSLC examination during March 2003.  The teaching methods and the infrastructure suiting to this environment was implemented as an ongoing process . With our experience it was found that the basic education was a problem for the students as such  PaRanga Pre Primary and PaRanga Primary Schools were started. This was started in an existing place (Ref. Photo gallery).  We decided to give the required infrastructure, facilities and environment for the all round development of rural children.

In this context we like to thank Mrs. Ashraya Hastha Trust, Rep. by Dr.K. Dinesh. Managing Trustee, Mrs. Asha Dinesh, Trustee for encouraging us to go ahead by donating Rs. 5 lakhs, when there was nothing to show, this encouragement inspired us to go further.

When it was thought of going for Pyramid class rooms, the first of its sort for the country,   it was Mr. Gururaja Rao who was responsible for the first pyramid class room.  We would like to thank Mr. Gururaja Rao, Patel Family, Mr. M.Ashok

Paranga Sushrutha Kendra was inaugurated on  5th May 2002 by Mr. Narayanaswamy I.A.S. Under PaRanga Sasya Kashi Activity a Project  DETMHAP – DEvelopment and Training Methods for Higher Agricultural Methods sponsored by Ashraya Hasta Trust was taken up, under  the guidance from Prof. K.R.Datye  and Mr. Balakrishna Renke from Maharashtra.  The project progressed well but due to unforeseen working problems the project could not be continued.
